The Darling female of KANHA FOREST...The No.7....It appeared from the tall grass very close to where i was parked anticipating its location....Tiger sighting so close in wild....it gives goosebumps and leaves a long lasting impression on your mind ...by the sheer dominance of this Cat in the Wilderness...

It was little sad to know she had just lost her cub last month to another dominant Male. All's fair in the Animal kingdom....!!!!

  1. What? Do tigers kill other tigers' cubs? Why?

  2. Yes, In the process of hirarchy the dominat male of the region during the mating season in its pursue of a female partner tends to attack or kill the cub born to previous male....This is b'cos it is preseived as a threat to the dominant male....All said and done this is not a norm....but an exception...!!!

  3. This is also true of the entire cat family. So even your local cats in the street show the same behavior.
