Isabelline Wheatear...Strange name and i am not able to connect it to the bird...None the less its one of the most beautiful bird i have seen...Even tho it looks almost a monochrome its very cute.
This image was made at Greater Rann of Kutch. Evening light and perfect perch is the key to this image.Well quite some time was spent to capture this beauty.

This tiny bird comes all the way from Afghanistan to Rann of Kutch during the time of Migration. It is not more than 4 inches in size and not a second it sits in one place.
Bush hopping, this bird did give me some tough time to make a good image. Almost merging colors to the BG makes it difficult to spot.

Quick dash to Rangantittu Bird Sanctuary last Sunday morning did yield some nice images. Here is a close up image which reveals the intricate folds near the beak and the sharp red eyes.
Egret soft landing and feather details...Look at the complex feather arrangement and the body and leg positions for a perfect landing...You cannot beat these flight experts in their perfection.

This Eurasian Spoonbill was sporting a weird hairdo during a photo shoot one fine morning at Rangantittu. This was the best courting behavior I have ever seen.
